Grand Lane at night.

You know I am a sucker for any kind of lantern, or lighting on a string.... Needless to say, I was a bit excited by all this lighting!

city randoms

As the weather turns just that bit cooler, I wanted to post some random pics from this summer that I took here and there but hadn't got around to posting yet. I can feel the days getting shorter and the shadows getting longer. That's ok. It was a nice summer, didn't even really get hot, but it'll be nice to dig out the old cardigan in a few weeks. Maybe a scarf even? I do like a change in the weather...

red

Have you seen the red ball yet? Have a look at its schedule here, there's still a week or so to catch it somewhere around town.

Yes they are... rubber duck lights. At the Festival Gardens. Did you know you can go there for free and listen to the music that's on stage? Listen to that is, you have to pay to get a proper seat where you can watch. Last night I listened to Death Cab for Cutie. I thought that was quite a good deal for free!

fringe world (5)

Well,I finished my fringe binge off last night with some R-rated puppetry, Mexican wrestling and a close encounter with a snake. Didn't get photos of any of that, so these are just randoms from last week that didn't make it up yet. Thank you Fringe World, see you in 2013!

If I hadn't woken up with chicken feathers in my bed this morning, I'd be inclined to think this was all part of some staggering dream I had last night. I've really never seen anything like it in my life. I've never seen so many happy, enthralled people in one place, all gazing skywards, laughing, pointing, oohing and ahhing. Absolutely brilliant. Truly unforgettable. Thank you to the Perth International Arts Festival, the City of Perth, and any other organisations that helped get this here. It was breathtaking.
